Zoe Thomas‘s work explores the interplay of love, identity, and the body in the digital realm. Mythological figures such as Narcissus, Pygmalion, and Orpheus serve as symbols to reflect on the digital transformation of love, sexuality, and corporeality. The focus lies on hybrid bodies that merge physical and virtual identities, challenging traditional definitions of intimacy and authenticity. Utopian and dystopian visions reveal how digital technologies open up new freedoms for self-expression while also fostering alienation and the loss of physical closeness. A spatial and video-based installation featuring manipulated bodies symbolizes the fusion of reality and virtuality, inviting viewers to question and rethink their own experiences of love and intimacy in the digital age.
