In their latest performance, Evie Helen Reckendrees delves into the intersections of poetry, resistance, and survival, exploring the unspoken remnants of militant lives and the delicate threads between rage and resilience.

“beware those who speak of others but not of the corpses in their mouth” is a lecture-performance. an auto-fictional poem. to confront the untamed edges of resistance and grief.

drawing from the practices of poetry, live art, tarot and sound, evie helen reckendrees explores the deaths of militant women, dialectics and suicide as counter-strategies to the rise of authoritarianism across the world and simply, life.
because rage is not enough.

Evie Helen Reckendrees is a poet, writer and performance artist. Her work engages with the liberatory tendencies of intimacy, embodiments of desire, as well as the utopian potentialities of trans existence.
